Band: THE RATS
Who: 4 noisemakers from
my hometown Ghent, Belgium.

New single: BLANK VERSE
It’s only their second one, following
their debut slam dunk Machinery.

TUTV: Holy Moses! This pure post-punk projectile attacks your ears with lots of horsepower. After a short, ominous synth intro an army of flipped-out guitars take
over and riff full-tilt forward.

They only make way, now and then, for the agitated vocalist, who spits his lines out
with grudge and goes ballistic when the chorus pops up. Holy Moses! This jackhammer’s tension grabs you by the throat. A moshpit is waiting for you just around the corner.
It all ends with an eerie, parlando finale. Fucktastic.
