Last September, British shoegaze heroes Slowdive returned to the scene with praised LP Everything Is Alive, their first full length in five years. Their Boston peers Drop Nineteens followed two months later with Hard Light, their first album LP in thirty years.

And now the equally veteran shoegazers RIDE join the revival.

Their 7th LP, named INTERPLAY, their first since 2019, is set to be released
on March 29. Along with the news comes the lead single PEACE SIGN.

Andy Bell (guitarist/co-singer): “The song started life as a jam recorded at Marks’ OX4
studio, in early 2021. We called it ‘Berlin’. About six months later I got hold of the recording
and wrestled it into song form. Lyrically, I was inspired by a film called The Alpinist about the visionary free climber Marc-André Leclerc. Soon after I’d finished I remember I was raving to my bandmates about Leclerc at OX4, and a good memory of that time was us all watching that film at Mark’s studio.”

Potent drums/bass determine the upbeat pace and whirling vibe of the track all the way. Peace Sign is a sickly sticky pop earworm with an orgasmic chorus. Picobello. Welcome back.
