Last week at the Super Bowl game a Beyoncé commercial was screened announcing
her new album Act II, the sequel to her 2022 album Renaissance. It’s out on March 29.

The following day she released two tracks off it. One of them titled TEXAS HOLD ‘EM
is a tremendously catching country tune, including vintage banjo play, embedded in
a Beyoncé dance sauce.

A couple of days ago the news came that the track (already more than 50 million
streams on Spotify) hit the top of the US Country Singles Chart. The first ever
country No 1 for a black woman artist. Go, go, go, Beyoncé.
