British ambient/techno/dance duo THE ORB (1988-present) released a single called
BLUE ROOM, on 21 June 1992, today 33 years ago. Nothing abnormal with that.
But (there’s always a but) the CD duration was 39 minutes and 58 seconds, two seconds shorter than the maximum permitted for a single under UK chart rules. The single peaked at No.8 in the UK. They also issued a 7″ inch vinyl version, shortened to 3 minutes 53 seconds.
It sounds/feels like you’re in a submarine and you hear that specific underwater fuzz.
