French Artist FEU FOLLET Invites You To His ‘SWAMPS OF SADNESS’ – A Dark Melodrama Wave Album

13 August 2025

Artist: FEU FOLLET
Who: The project of French post/punk, synthwave,
coldwave musician Alban Blaising.

New album: SWAMPS OF SADNESS
His 6th one.

Press info: Originally rooted in instrumental darkwave and synthwave compositions,
Feu Follet has undergone a steady transformation since his 2019 debut Le Champ Des Morts. With 2021’s Beneath The Earth, Blaising introduced vocals into his sonic landscape for the first time, inviting collaborators and blurring the lines between electronic atmosphere and emotional storytelling.

Swamps Of Sadness marks a new chapter. It dives deeper into rock-oriented terrain, while preserving the project’s signature melancholy and immersive textures. Featuring
Feu Follet’s biggest lineup of guest vocalists: Thomas Schernikau (Forced to Mode), Vlimmer, Isabelle B., Baumann, Pat Aubier, and Pierre Bastien, the album opens up Feu Follet’s sound like never before.

Layered with guitars, modular synths, psychedelic bleeps and blobs, Blaising played the drums himself for the first time. ‘Swamps of Sadness’ explores personal disorientation and fragile hope through a cinematic lens. It’s a bold, collaborative step forward that both honors and expands the project’s emotional core. Feu Follet continues to evolve without losing the haunting intimacy that defined his earlier works.

TUTV: With such a detailed and factual press statement (no exaggerations whatsoever, when it subscribes the music) I can’t add much except, of course, for what my ears tell
me, and they’re quite impressed.

They advice you to give this dark-melodrama-wave record, dominated by impassioned vocals from Blaising and his guests, surrounded by orchestral synth-scapes and notable percussion, a couple of spins to fully connect with its heart and soul and its overall, shadowy sonority.

In the end all pieces fall into place. Swamps Of Sadness, at its core is a goth-ish, gloomy,
and romantic twilight trip juiced with solid, intense tunes that stick slowly but surely in your mind.

PSYCHEDELIC PORN CRUMPETS – Australian Guitar Freaks Drop New High-Voltage Projectile ‘MANNY’S READY TO ROLL’

Daily noise that works faster than a stream of caffeine

13 August 2025

Band: PSYCHEDELIC PORN CRUMPETS
Who: Fertile guitar-insane Aussies,
active since 2014.

Track: MANNY’S READY TO ROLL
New single.

I guess the crumpets take the same performance-enhancing pills as their prolific compatriots King Gizzard é The Lizard Wizard. Only last May they launched their 7th longplayer Carpe Diem, Moonman and, already, on October 29th number eight,
called Pogo Radio will drop on your stereo.

TUTV: Manny’s Ready To Roll explodes in your face from the kick-off and then makes
your head rotate uncontrollably. It’s a steaming switchback stunner, going left & right, forth & back, up & down and leaves you behind, out of breath. No chance whatsoever
to resist this high-voltage projectile. Wake up, all you lazy bastards out there and rock hard.

Jumpin’ Jack flash, it’s a crash, crash, crash.

MASSIVE ATTACK Slam UK Government After Peaceful Citizens Got Arrested at Pro Palestine Demonstration In London

12 August 2025

Over 500 peacefully pro-Palestine protesting people were arrested at the huge gathering

NEIL YOUNG Released His Torpedoed 15th LP ‘OLD WAYS’ 40 Years Ago Today

Significant longplayers from yesteryear

12 August 2025

Living legend NEIL YOUNG released his 15th LP OLD WAYS today 40 years ago,
on 12 August 1985. It was his first pure country album, but his record label Geffen
Records
didn’t like it, ’cause they thought it was unsaleable. Fuck them. Another sad
example of how money-greedy corporate monsters disrespect the artist’s vision when
they think they can’t get enough money out of it. It happened then, it still happens now.

They refused to promote it, so the truly wonderful LP
stranded at #39 in the UK and #75 in the US.

Young said a few years later to Rolling Stone Magazine: “There was a whole other record, the original Old Ways, which Geffen rejected. It was done in Nashville in only a few days, basically the same way Harvest was done. Old Ways II was more of a country record – which was a direct result of being sued for playing country music.

The more they tried to stop me, the more I did it. Just to let them know that no one’s gonna tell me what to do. I was so stoked about that record. I sent them a tape of it that had eight songs on it. I called them up a week later, ’cause I hadn’t heard anything, and they said, “Well, frankly, Neil, this record scares us a lot. We don’t think this is the right direction for you to be going in.” … They didn’t look at me as an artist; they looked at me as a product, and this product didn’t
fit in with their marketing scheme.”

WIJF. – Loud Belgian Up And Coming Misfits Invite You To Their Terrrodome With New Slam Dunk ‘LIAR’

Daily electricity to load your batteries

12 August 2025

📷 Mats Verschueren

Band: WIJF. (WIFE. in English)
Who:
Hungry hit team from Belgium
ready to take on the world.

Last December, this turbulent turbo released their smashing
debut single Hysterical. Along with a series of jaw-dropping
gigs they soon became the talk of the town

Now with their second single, named LIAR out,
their fan base will double in an eye/ear blink.

Single artwork

The 4-piece grab you again by the throat from the kick-off and never lose their firm grip. Liar is a titanic motherrocker that pulverizes the Richter scale in just 250 seconds. Queens Of The Stone Age would label this jiving juggernaut a ‘ song for the deaf‘.

Vociferous vocalist Marie De Graeve is seemingly on an exorcistic trip again. Her one-of-a-kind vocal cords have a ruthless impact on your petrified stereo. Helter-skelter. And when
I say that she’s backed by a Herculean bulldozer of a badass band you know you’re about to experience a new terrordome, called WIJF. What the fuck!

Shoulder-to-shoulder, they’re on a maddening mission to have the time of their lives
and to let their noizz devotees participate in the wild rollercoaster ride. Hail hail!
