Yesterday BOB MOULD who was born on October 16th in Malone, New York celebrated his 65th birthday. And he had big news. After three decades, he returns with his band SUGAR, which he formed a couple of years after Hûsker Dü called it a day.

Mould: “SUGAR was a meteorite. I spent all of 1991 writing and performing new material
at solo shows. David (Barbe) and Malcolm (Travis) had never met but I was certain we three would work well together.

SUGAR was a workhorse. After weeks of rehearsal in early 1992, we spent three months recording Copper Blue and Beaster. By summer 1992, the musical climate was perfect
for what we created.

SUGAR was a phenomena. No one could have predicted the results. We held onto the wheel
and did our best to enjoy the wild ride. SUGAR was part of a pivotal era in popular music, and
a special time in my life.

They were active between 1992 and 1995. The trio released two notable
albums, Copper Blue (1992) and File Under: Easy Listening (1994).

They mark their comeback now with a new
track, named HOUSE OF DEAD MEMORIES.

Wake up, Sugar is back,
guitar rock is back
