15 October 2026
On November 27th, the Record Store Day organisation
will take part again in the yearly Black Friday event.
One of the countless releases is an exclusive, standalone vinyl LP in a limited-edition
gold vinyl of the 1965 original version released in the US by Capitol Records, of the
masterpiece album Rubber Soul by The Beatles.
The audio has been sourced from the original 1965 US production master referencing
the contemporary mastering notes of the time. Pressed on a 180g heavyweight gold LP and housed in a poly-lined inner bag within a single outer sleeve that replicates the original US Album release.
As had occurred with all The Beatles’ albums released in the US, the tracklisting is different from its UK counterpart. For this Capitol release, ‘Drive My Car’, ‘Nowhere Man’, ‘What Goes On’ and ‘If I Needed Someone’ were sidelined from the sequence of the UK LP.
A total of 15,000 copies are available.
