Reveries for the laziest day of the week

New York’s singer-songwriter celeb SUFJAN STEVENS
is one of the first artists to sing us a Xmas carol, and he’s
pretty optimistic this year.
With ON THIS CHRISTMAS (IT ONLY GETS BETTER) he
drops a jolly let’s-dance-around the Xmas three tune.
The song appears on his new LP, titled Worst Christmas Ever! (damn, I thought he was optimistic this year) released this Friday. The 16-track album features Xmas songs he wrote over the years, in fact, since 2001.
Stevens: “I love the idea of a Christmas apology. A holiday characterized by the giving and receiving of gifts might be made even better by the giving and receiving of forgiveness. Let’s
try to be better this year: more loving, forgiving, welcoming and reckoning. This song is a prayer, that we can all find a way to yield to the wisdom and understanding of forgiveness. I believe the world will find its way.”
Here we go, family.
