Five Firecrackers To Stay On Track… In The Weekend

5 new firecrackers to fuel for the weekend…

‘I’M WAITING FOR THE MAN’ by MATT BERNINGER

The National’s frontman Matt Berninger is part of the impressive cast
of artists covering each a track of the historic 1967 debut LP on an
upcoming tribute album for The Velvet Underground.

Here comes your man…

‘Monster Love’ by THE JACKLIGHTS (Boston, US)

This is my favourite track from this tight trio’s new 5-track EP Drift. It’s a jagged jackhammer that rotates full steam ahead driven by hammering drum beats, ablaze
guitar layers, and poppy vocals on top of it. Need electricity to load your batteries?
Monster Love will satisfy your needs. Damn right!

They just wanna turn you on

‘Highway To Hell’ by TOM MORELLO feat. Bruce Spingsteen and Eddie Vedder

The Rage Against The Machine guitarist announced his new, third solo, album, titled
The Atlas Underground Fire, out in October. One of the tracks is a cover of AC/DC‘s
1979 massive slam dunk Highway To Hell with awesome vocals by Spingsteen and Pearl Jam‘s main man Eddie Vedder.

Hell is this way…

‘The Blues Came In’ by THE BURNER BAND (Leeds, UK)

This Leeds’ rockabilly and roots duo brings the shake-and-twist of the 50s back to 2021. They rattle and roll, they riff and rock with a swirling pace. Get those dusty dance shoes out of the closet and make your move. Big fun guaranteed!

The track is from their debut album Sings and Wonders out 3 September
through Shed Load Records (vinyl) and digitally/CD via Bandcamp

Dance yourself dizzy right here…

‘Be The Only One’ by RISE CARMINE (Canada)

A song “about catharsis. It invokes the feelings of those who are subservient
to an autocrat and their dreams for release from oppression; a Shakespearean
betrayal under cover of darkness.”

Expect a psychedelic groove with a bluesy touch, electrical vibe,
catching progression, and reflective vocals floating all over it. Yes!

Be the one here…

FOO FIGHTERS And AC/DC Vox BRIAN JOHNSON Play ‘BACK IN BLACK ‘

11 May 2021

Foo Fighters and AC/DC‘s husky voice Brian Johnson teamed up for charity
project VAX Live: The Concert To Reunite The World as well as other big
names such as Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Vedder, J Balvin, and H.E.R.

It all happened last weekend in a big venue in Los Angeles to an audience
of over 20,000 vaccinated frontline healthcare and essential workers.

The Foos played a 6-song set including a steamed-up cover of AC/DC’s
1980 anthem BACK IN BLACK with Johnson screaming himself dizzy.

For those about to rock, here we go…

Five Firecrackers To STAY ON TRACK IN THE WEEKEND!

Five new firecrackers to bang-up your favorite 48 hours…

‘Pantomine’ by BLACK MONSOON (The Netherlands)
Before unleashing their debut album ‘Pantomine‘ soon, this high-energy trio boosts your bluesy pandemic mood with the heated, eponymous single. A 24-Carat stunner with the ghost of Kurt Cobain on vocals. Jump out of your lazy couch, push your furniture aside,
and rock your socks off on a string…

‘So To Speak’ by BLUE STATUE (North London)
‘A surreal stop motion drama’ says the band. Sonically you get an ongoing groove driven by electrically powered guitars à la Dinosaur Jr. and a firm beat while impassioned vocals add an urgent feel. This cracker is part of an A-double side. Listen also to fired-up jackhammer V.F. right here.

‘Realize’ by AC/DC (Australia)
Riff, bang, riff, bang, riff, bang. AC/DC is unbeatable when you’re in the mood for some mindless headbanging and high-voltage rock. Riff, bang, riff, bang, riff, bang. Power Up!

Forgotten Places, Forgotten People‘ by MIRROR OF HAZE (Norway)
A darkwave daydream with a glossy radiation. Expect electrifying melodiousness with glimmering Cure-esque guitar echoes and a melancholic resonance. This is head-in-the-clouds music for reflecting moments on a winter day. Close your eyes, travel to a faraway, forgotten place and forget your sorrows…

‘No Save Point’ by RUN THE JEWELS
No rest for the wicked. Run The Jewels rap and roar again with their contribution to the soundtrack of Cyberpunk 2077 under the moniker of Yankee & The Brave. Put your golden neck chains on and pretend you won the Presidential US elections.

A Whole Lotta Power Up – AC/DC Drop Riff Hammer ‘REALIZE’ From New LP

New sonic impulses…

12 November 2020

Before unleashing their 17th album POWER UP tomorrow, heads-up-and-down rock
devils AC/DC attack our ears with new cut REALIZE. And it sounds, completely surprising, like avant-garde jazz. NOT! Riffs, riffs and riffs, that’s what the Aussies do best for a long, long time.

Turn it up
