Clips that will have an impact on your eyes and your ears…

Suddenly early October, out of the blue, Portland‘s electro collective CHROMATICS released the album they have already announced since 2014. New LP, titled CLOSER
TO GREY is an overall starry-eyed and poppy affair containing also covers of Simon and Garfunkel and The Jesus & Mary Chain.
And just now they launched a video clip for one of the mooniest tracks of the record. Here’s tender love song MOVE A MOUNTAIN….

Portland‘s electro collective CHROMATICS announced their new album to be released already at the end of 2014 but so far, until last night, no new longplayer. But, suddenly,
a few weeks ago the band shared a cover of the late folk singer-songwriter Jackson C. Frank’s song ‘I WANT TO BE ALONE (DIALOGUE)’ and confirmed to play the Pitchfork Music Festival in Paris on 1 November.
And now, suddenly out of the blue here’s, finally, the brand new Chromatics‘ LP, titled CLOSER TO GREY (after a track issued several years ago) instead of the early chosen title ‘Dear Tommy‘. The record contains covers of Simon and Garfunkel and The Jesus & Mary Chain translated into the band’s dreamy textures. After just one spin the feeling is that there’s so much to experience. Let’s just do this together right here…

While we’re waiting for their new album – which was already announced to be released
at the end of 2014(!) – Portland‘s electro collective CHROMATICS are filling the gap now – before playing the Pitchfork Music Festival in Paris next November – with a cover of the late folk singer-songwriter Jackson C. Frank ’s song ‘I WANT TO BE ALONE (DIALOGUE)’. A fanciful reverie for the twilight hours. Here’s the video clip produced by the band’s composer and producer Johnny Jewel…
Here’s the original JACKSON C. FRANK song, an American folk singer who made
only one album, produced by Paul Simon, and passed away in 1999, only 56…

Countless fans are still waiting for Portland‘s electro act CHROMATICS‘ follow-up LP to their fourth longplayer called Kill For Love released in 2012. Actually a new full length titled Dear Tommy was already announced back in 2014 but except for some singles no new full record yet.
To ease the impatience the band, let by the charismatic Ruth Radelet, has shared their cover of ‘PETALS‘, a song by Courtney Love‘s former band HOLE (from their splendid 1998 Celebrity Skin LP). Chromatics take is more hopeful, more romantic and lighter that the original. Check it out here…

Portland’s electro-pop outfit CHROMATICS, led by charismatic frontwoman Ruth Radelet, has announced their first (American) tour in five years and with it, the band also shared new mesmerizing single TIME RIDER. A smooth groove built around a repetitive synth drum beat with Radelet‘s starry-eyed voice floating all over it while a frisky guitar riff enters the scene and cinematic electronic sequences pop up now and then adding psychedelic colors to the song. Here’s the enthralling daydream…
