Imperishable Beatle legend RINGO STARR posted a video message for
his – still countless number – of fans worldwide and asked everybody,
everywhere to think, say or post #peaceandlove at Noon their local
time on July 7th to fulfil his 81th birthday wish.

The tradition started in 2008 after being asked by a
reporter what he would like for his birthday. He said
Peace and Love.

Ringo wants a little help from his friends…

FOO FIGHTERS Massive Fans Of BEE GEES Legends

Since FOO FIGHTERS shared a cover of the BEE GEES‘ mega hit
YOU SHOULD BE DANCING earlier this year we know that Dave
Grohl and co are big fans of the Gibb Brothers‘ harmonies.

And the Foos are taking it a step further with a limited vinyl LP, titled
HAIL SATIN, with 5 Bee Gees covers, but also 5 live versions of Medicine
at Midnight (their newest album) tracks. This special issue will be out on
Record Store Day, 17 July. More info here.

An LP released in 2003 featuring tracks from two EPs and 2003 album
Send, all of which were edited in length to accommodate the vinyl format.

2×10” singles + 1×7” single housed in a hardback book designed by Jon Wozencroft, including a 6000 word essay from writer Graham Duff, with new interviews with WIRE’s Bruce Gilbert, Colin Newman, Robert Grey and Graham Lewis, as well as complete lyrics and recording details, plus many previously unpublished photographs. Will also be released
on CD.

Info: Black Midi began writing music for a new album in late 2019, not long
after the release of their debut studio album, Schlagenheim, in June of that
year. The band chose to have a less improvisational approach to writing their
second studio album, in contrast to Schlagenheim which was crafted around
jam sessions.[1] Prior to the recording sessions for the album, guitarist Matt
Kwasniewski-Kelvin took a break from the band, citing a need to focus on his
mental health, he took part in the writing sessions for Cavalcade, however.

Content: Two LPS – one white, one red – with 13 previously unreleased
tracks and an unreleased live set from 2001. Also a DVD with behind the
scenes footage of the album’s recording process and a 12 X 12 booklet
