The Floria Sigismondi-directed movie adaptation of Henry James 1898 novella The Turn Of The Screw — called The Turning — will start screening in January. The soundtrack will feature new or previously unreleased songs by several artists such as Courtney Love, Mitski, Kim Gordon, Alice Glass, Warpaint, Cherry Glazer and the Kills’ Alison Mosshart.

COURTNEY LOVE, a long time fan of Floria Sigismondi who’s also quite famous for directing music videos, has contributed a new song to the film. It’s called MOTHER‘, an impassioned and zealous power ballad with a fervid vocal Love performance.

Courtney Love was born Courtney Michelle Harrison on 9 July 1964 in San Francisco, California. A controversial personality, an intimidating singer/frontwoman and a puzzling actress. A multifaceted character you love or you hate. I was fully fascinated when she hit the scene with Hole about 30 years ago. Some doubts kicked in afterward (thanks in part to some damaging media animosity. No thanks, sensational sharks!). Was she for real or just acting and fooling around? The fact that she married a global rock star didn’t make things easier to see as they really were. But after reading her biography sometime later
I knew she absolutely was who she showed she was. An adult with many scars because
as a bipolar teenager she was neglected by everybody (parents & family) who should have cared when it matters most for a upgrowing child and she fought her way through, on her own, to be somebody, to have a decent life and feel good about herself. Happy 55 Miss Love. Here come three big ones to celebrate…

COURTNEY LOVE Says A HOLE Reunion Is Possible…

As former manic grunge legends HOLE celebrated the 25th birthday of their second album Live Through This last month, front-screamer-woman COURTNEY LOVE talked about a possible reunion in an interview with British newspaper The Guardian: “We are definitely talking about it. There’s nothing wrong with honoring your past. I’ve just kind of discovered that. If you don’t, people will rewrite history and you will become an inconvenient woman.” Read the whole story here. I saw the 2010 HOLE reincarnation playing live twice
(Amsterdam and Paris), but wouldn’t mind to see more of the original.

COURTNEY LOVE – ‘Celebrity Skin’ – Live With 1000 Italian Musicians…

Ecstatic live performances…

Three years ago Foo Fighters played  ‘Learn To Fly‘ with 100 Italian musicians.  Last July, the Italy’s Rockin 1000 returned once more to perform with Courtney Love at That’s Live 2018, a charity event that took place at Florence’s Artemio Franchi Stadium. Two Hole songs were performed: Celebrity Skin and Malibu. Now we can see some totally ecstatic footage of the first. Oil your lungs and scream along right here…
