Happy 79 To Former CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL Voice/Face JOHN FOGERTY
28 May 2024
JOHN CAMERON FOGERTY was born Berkeley, California on 28 May 1945.
Happy 79 to the voice/face and maestro of historic travelin’ band CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL (including his brother Tom) who were a hit machine with
multiple classic singles and no less than 7 LPs in 5 years (1967-1972).
The band split up with angry arguing and legal battles.
John started a successful solo career and released (so far) 10 albums.
He’s still active (will see him next July in Belgium at Rock Zottegem Fest).

Along with the news of the book release, came a previously unreleased track called OPEN INVITATION from the sessions of his 1984 album New Sensations, one of his rare upbeat LPs.

Happy 58 To SPIRITUALIZED Maestro JASON PIERCE
19 November 2023
JASON PIERCE was born in Rugby, England on 19 November 1965.
Happy 58 to the psychedelic soul artist who started his career with fellow
space cowboy Sonic Boom in Spacemen 3 (1982-1991) and then went on his
solo crusade with the Spiritualized moniker.
So far Pierce released 9 studio LPs with Spiritualized. Last year’s Everything Was Beautiful is the most recent one. He not only fabricates spellbinding longplayers, Spiritualized concerts are magical events, as I’ve witnessed 3 times before.

Happy 80 To JONI MITCHELL
7 November 2023
Canadian-American folk/singer-songwriter legend JONI MITCHELL was
born named Roberta Joan Anderson on 7 November 1943 in Alberta, Canada.
When she moved to the US she acquired the American nationality.
Happy 80 to a truly remarkable and influential artist from the 1960s folk music
scene. She incorporated pop and jazz elements in her work and was known for her wayward and outspoken lyrics and singular voice. She won 10 Grammy Awards and
was internationally lauded and still widely respected as a genuine performer. She
was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
She recorded/released 19 studio LPs with her fourth one BLUE from 1977 still
regarded as her magnum opus. She wrote the album just after her breakup with
Graham Nash and during an intense relationship with James Taylor.
AllMusic/Jason Ankeny: “The quintessential confessional singer/songwriter
album. Raw nerves, tales of love and loss etched with stunning complexity.”
