SINA MATIX – American Darkwave Act Unleashes Hammer Blow Single ‘KILLING THE CURSE’

Daily electricity to load your batteries

19 August 2026

Band: SINA MATIX
Who: Florida-based musical project that addresses dark themes with
a cinematic sound infused with samples for context.  As a result, a new
sub-genre is born. One that can only be described as “dark dramatic electro”.

Track: KILLING THE CURSE
Brand new single.

“It’s about those life-changing moments when an event occurs and uproots a person
and puts them into a state of the unknown. Bad luck, divorce, backstabbing, instability
along with a fear of commitment, this goes on for years, until a person finally gets the
strength to push the “reboot” button on their life. The reboot is “Killing The Curse”.

TUTV: Wham bloody wham bam. Echoes of the brutal industrial intimidation of Ministry and the hypnotic electronics of Front 242 come together here on this nasty electro-punk hammer blow, spiked with alarming vocals. No rest for the wicked. No time to lose. Prepare your stereo for some commotion. Reboot immediately.

BAXTER HALL – Boston’s Singer-Songwriter/Guitarist Impassiones With His New Heartfelt Reflection ‘THE WORK’

Daily electricity to load your batteries

15 August 2026

Artist: BAXTER HALL
Who: Singer-songwriter based in Boston. He released
his debut album Somewhere In My Guitar in 2020.

Track: THE WORK
The title piece of his upcoming EP,
out September 18th.

Press info: “The storyline around “The Work,” and the EP overall, is one that is personal
to Hall while still being entirely relatable to others. Addressing family dynamics is nothing new for the rising artist.

A musical old soul who was raised in New England surrounded by multiple generations of professional classical musicians, experiencing the allure and magnetism of live music while his father performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops.”

Hall about the song: “‘The Work’ is about my personal experience handling the emotions
of going no-contact with a parent. The feelings of loss and sadness that come with that decision, but also having your boundaries be stronger than your empathy and empowering yourself to break the cycle and not internalize and inherit toxic behavior.”

“This song came through very quickly and was one of the ‘easy writes. It was a very healing
and cathartic experience for me, and truthfully my first thought was it was not being some
big single to promote. It felt very personal and something I just sang to myself for a while.”

TUTV: This is singer-songwriting beauty, melancholia and heartfeltness. From acoustic
intimacy to rockin’ swagger. Many legendary songsmiths come to mind (Jeff Buckley, Gram Parsons and Nick Drake to name a few). Hall‘s sincere, Americana voice turns this mixed-emotions reflection into a graceful moment. Engrossing.

THE FAMILY BATTENBERG – Welsh Indie Gunslingers Shoot From The Hip With ‘BED BUG’

Daily electricity to load your batteries

12 August 2026

© Ren Faulkner

Band: THE FAMILY BATTENBURG
Who: Fiery Welsh indie rockers from Cardiff who got
critics’ attention with last year’s EP Spider Rock Forever.

FFO: T. Rex, The White Stripes, The Stooges, Slade and Ty Segall.

Track: BED BUG
Lead single from their forthcoming debut album,
named Super Deluxe on November 20th. Details here.
.

About the song: “A lot of our songs sound like they’re about shagging, but aren’t, except this one sort of is. Bed Bug is about mites. How would a bed bug feel about getting obsessed with the person in the bed? We wrote it in a tent backstage at a festival in Orléans, France.

Even then we knew we wanted it to sound big. We’d spent nine months of 2025 not coming up with any new songs we were happy with, but this one thankfully broke our streak, and came to define the outlook of the new record”.

TUTV: Hair-raising riffage, a pressurising rhythm section, and fuzzy vocals cause a pulverising effect on this garage punk roundhouse, while the hypnotic chorus petrifies. This is not a new Ty Segall left-right sucker-punch, but it certainly matches his bewildering, psychedelic impact. These Welsh indie gunslingers shoot from the hip.

Bullseye.

THE LIGHT SHOW – British Guitar Rock Indies Riff Hard On New Steamrolling Single ‘CODENAME E.M.M.A.’

Daily electricity to load your batteries

10 August 2026

Band: THE LIGHT SHOW
Who: High-voltage four-piece indie-punk band from Yorkshire,
combining driving guitar riffs, infectious hooks, and an explosive
live presence.

Track: CODENAME E.M.M.A.

“The song is about trying to escape from a chaotic relationship after it ends. The frenetic and brash nature of the tune comes from the frenetic nature of the relationship and of the brash and chaotic attitude of the title character.  We wanted the music and lyrics to come together and create a mood for the song that matches the subject.

TUTV: Riff-roasting guitar indie rock at its cutting best. The Light Show don’t waste time, they dive into this sassy steamroller from the get-go with tons of knife-edged zip. Punk legends Ramones could turn you upside down with under 2-minute punches. That seems these British hound dogs’ mission too. And they succeed with all amps up and all cylinders on. Expect high-voltage electricity.

Have a go.

MASS MINOR – Texan Darkwave Maverick Launches New Supersonic Missile ‘NOWHERE NOW’

Daily electricity to load your batteries

7 August 2026

Artist: MASS MINOR
Who: Texas-based darkwave and electronic rock project of Andrew J. Martin, Jr., blending atmospheric synths and driving guitars into cinematic songwriting. He also draws from post-punk, synth-pop and alternative rock influences to create a sound that feels both nostalgic and thoroughly modern.

He released his debut album Become Each Other in 2020.

Track: NOWHERE NOW
New single.

“This song explores the tension between who we are and who we’ve convinced ourselves we should be. It is centred around the recurring lyric ‘What if what we’re fighting for was never really ours to hold?’ and examines self-deception, transformation and the difficult process
of letting go.”

TUTV: Fasten your seatbelt and be ready for a nerve-wracking, synth-charged race, speeding like a comet out of control. Nowhere Now is a supersonic darkwave missile, motorized by a flood of towering electronics, merciless drum/bass attacks, and anxious vocals. A dazzling and flabbergasting ride for all you reckless electro-punked up fanatics out there in the dark. And when it all abruptly ends, your finger will reach automatically
for the repeat button.

COSMIC REVIVAL – Finnish Indie Outfit Echo Southern Rock Electricity On New Single ‘NO ROOM FOR MISTAKES’

Daily electricity to load your batteries

29 July 2026

Promo picture by Elsa Wellamo

Band: COSMIC REVIVAL
Who: Finnish outfit that creates atmospheric, groove-driven art rock that moves between intensity and restraint. Their sound is built on layered instrumentation and a strong sense of narrative.

The songs unfold in an imaginative space where characters act as both symbols and stories. Drawing from literature and emotional archetypes, the music forms a world
where meaning is not explained, but discovered.

Rather than aiming for immediacy, Cosmic Revival invites listeners into
a sustained mood, something to return to as well as experience collectively.

Track: NO ROOM FOR MISTAKES
Only their 2nd single.

CR: “Built from the start on organic interplay between the musicians, the song reflects
our belief as a band that music is at its strongest when it grows from genuine interaction, shared dynamics, and the chemistry between musicians.

‘No Room for Mistakes’ broadens our musical palette without losing the atmosphere that has been defining our sound. The result is a song driven by tight musicianship, expressive dynamics, and an irresistible groove. We are very happy with that result!”

TUTV: Back to the 60s/70s, back to the riff-roasting Southern Rock bands
such as Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers, back to the decades where
high-voltage guitars were the prominent heroes.

Cosmic Revival echo yesteryear’s insatiable appetite for hot hooks, lively licks
and firm vocals, producing plenty of beefy brouhaha. No Room For Mistakes is
an unmistakable haymaker of a track.

Let’s roll.
