Who: British post-punk outfit from Leeds, fronted by poetic wordsmith
James Smith, who catapulted themselves to the top of indie world with
2 splendid albums, The Overload (2022) and Where’s My Utopia (2024).

New single: REDEEMER
First shared cut from their upcoming, 3rd full-length,
baptized You”re Gonna Need A Little Music.

It’s the first time the band have made an album live in the same room.

James Smith: “The first two records were both laptop records essentially.
This album was written in uninterrupted five month period of creativity. We
went on to produce 40 or 50 songs. It felt like freedom. It felt like everything
I’d wanted from being in a band”.

TUTV: Redeemer is a mighty, slow-mo banger, spiked with ferocious guitar riffage
and a familiar shanty chorus. More tenebrous and jaggeder than their previous stuff.

After a series of cryptic billboards popped up across the globe, THE ROLLING
STONES revealed the title of their upcoming album and release date last week.
It’s named Foreign Tongues and will be shared with the world on July 10th.

It’ll be their 25th, following 2023’s
comeback Hackney Diamonds.

Check out the two firecrackers that just went online.
They easily could have been on their previous album.
No surprises. Only rock ‘n’ roll, but they still like it.

Who: British singer-songwriter from Birmingham, describing himself this way:

all-round Yin Yang of Satire and Seriousness.”. Weirdo from Birmingham, blending
together a unique Yin Yang of satire and seriousness, Esore Alle is the embodiment
of “If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry.”

TUTV: And what did mum say? Was she angry? Did she want some too? Whatever,
Alle‘s tongue-in-cheek thoughts on casual drug use and what your entourage thinks
about it, are wrapped in both an amusing and rainbow-like orchestrated baroque
pop tune with his falsetto bits, drawing all of your aural attention. Outright
songwriting felicity.

As Bob Dylan sang years ago: “Everybody must get stoned”.

Who: A Finnish experimental indie pop artist crafting peculiar sounds for the joy-hungry. Blending melodic songwriting with adventurous sonic experimentation, Ahva draws from the playful spirit of early-2000s indie icons to create music that feels both familiar and genuinely strange.

The song was written during the COVID lockdowns in Helsinki and reflects a disorienting stretch of time where days blurred together, shaped by life at home with young children and a fading sense of routine.

Ahva: “You’re technically free, but in practice, you’re very much trapped.”

TUTV: If this rad, rolling booster doesn’t arouse all of your limbs, you need to consult
your therapist or change your meds. Trapped In Freedom causes a rush of blood to the head. It feels like you’re on an out-of-control carousel, like a steamed-up, percussive-energizing scurry, while bracing vocals add extra dynamism.

This is the kind of invigorating tune that helps you destress so you can face
your daily grind and the treadmill we’re on. Eureka, we have a winner.

Who: Raucous noise outfit led by Belgian, musical chameleon Wolf Vanwymeersch,
who played with several bands (pop, rock, sludge metal) and released a pure singer-songwriter pearl with solo debut album The Early Years back in 2022.

Wholes are “what remains after a soul has been detonated, what
struck those around it, what could no longer be contained”.

Last year, the band scored big time with their heart-wrenching debut album, named
A Mass In The Water. One of the best 10 LPs of 2025 according to TUTV‘s ears: “It’s a
both scary and flabbergasting opus about Wolf’s father’s suicide. It takes a lot of courage to make and share this soul-crushing experience with the world.”

New single: THE MOMENT

TUTV: Frontman Wolf told us that this new tune is not as dark as the previous ones,
even a teeny bit romantic with a line that goes like this “If our eyes lock for a second,
we’ll share an eternity”.

Besides that lovey-dovey line, The Moment sounds actually more like a brain-breaking nightmare, motorized by about 100 guitars and Wolf‘s ghostly vocals. It progresses
like a slow-burning torch that will, eventually, extinguish in the end. Spooky and
chilling if you ask me. Not really a whole lotta love here.

MY LENNIS – Belgian Punk Misfits Call To Arms With New Headbutt Single ‘EMPIRE JUNKIES’

Who: 4 Belgian misfits fueled by fast guitars, catchy choruses,
and loads of energy. Modern punk with a nod to the 90s scene.

Track: EMPIRE JUNKIES
First single from their upcoming EP.

The song is about a world in uncertainty and conflict, in which powerful leaders try
to exert control at the expense of ordinary people. It describes feelings of frustration, distrust, and resistance against political manipulation, economic pressure, and warmongering.

At the same time, it calls for action: no longer remaining silent, but standing up
together, making a statement and offering resistance, while the world watches.

TUTV: After an eruptive intro that brings the equally explosive intro of The Damned‘s
1977 steamroller New Rose to mind, these Belgian noiseniks fulminate like Jello Biafra
and The Dead Kennedys used to do when they unleashed their politically outspoken
blood-and-guts aggravation.

My Lennis storm from start to finish on this rapid-fire riff-ripper, propelled by their fast and furious vocalist, who’s backed by a tempestuous guitar-bass-drum artillery. To hell with all narcissist megalomaniacs who fuck up the world these days. Action required.

Who: Folk-rock indies from Boston, MA.

Piece from their upcoming debut LP, titled
‘Nothing To The Branches’, out on May 15th.

It showcases the band’s lush, emphatic sound that somehow
feels both intimately personal and richly expansive,

Tommy Ng (Vocals, acoustic guitar) “The lyrics are about spending time alone, and doing
your own thing. This is something I’ve always had to do to maintain my capacity for dealing
with the world, and to manage being overstimulated by it.

When I was a kid, this desire manifested itself as a fantasy about a special place that was somehow completely separate from the world, where time didn’t exist, and that only I could access, which I found incredibly soothing to think about.”

TUTV: Empty Space is a nostalgic folk-pop tune. Infectious, uplifting, invigorating.
The kind of earworms that put a smile on your face, forgetting the daily manic
rat race around you.

The song’s sentiments make me think of Oasis‘ classic Live Forever, which also expresses the romantic sentiment of locking out the outside world (in this case, with your best friend) and doing whatever you want, without your entourage having any clue. Quite a universal fantasy (I guess).

British glam rockers TEMPLES are back in town. A couple of weeks ago, they announced the birth of their 5th full-length album, the first in 3 years. It’s titled Bliss. It’ll come our way on June 26th.

Who: A muscial and visual artist based in Brighton (UK). Drawing on years of immersion
in trip-hop, ambient, dubstep, and junglist traditions, all refracted through a prism of classical-influenced electronica. His cinematic experiments, both sonic and visual, have consistently borne rich creative fruit.

Track: GRACE

Press Info: “This is Third Bloom at his most politically charged. Where his earlier work explored the friction between electronic production and organic soul, Grace pushes deeper, into anger, grief, and the kind of hope that only survives after everything else
has burned.”

TUTV: Grace is a fascinating piece of music. It’s a three-part odyssey starting with a
speech-like message citing human rights, much-needed tolerance, and unconditional inclusivity as much-needed social instruments for survival.

Then singer Trash Breeze joins in and delivers a mesmerising vocal performance,
while trip-hop vibes in the back prepare for part three, where synths and drum/bass
take over for a 4-minute outstretched trip, think DJ Shadow’s superb album ‘Entroducing‘.
As said, a fascinating piece of music.

About the video: “‘Grace’s accompanying video is a confrontation. Hundreds of
human faces – every age, gender, race, and aesthetic – flicker past in a rapid stop-motion sequence, a kaleidoscope of shared humanity that refuses to let the viewer look away. Tash Breeze‘s own face weaves through the tapestry, appearing and disappearing as the track builds.”
