Lead single: DIVEBOMB feat. Detroit rapper IndigoYaj

Parton: “Protest songs have always been a balancing act. If you’re
too sledgehammer it’s cringey – like the Scorpions’ ‘Winds of Change’
or something – but at the same time given the stuff they’re trying
to pull with abortion rights it feels weird to ignore it.”

This spry tune is an ideal one to get up, to face a new day, to hope that
everyone feels the same lust for life and at least try to give humankind’s
future a chance.

The Record To Play At The EURO 2020 Games – ‘GET UP SEQUENCES PART ONE’ By THE GO! TEAM

3 July 2021

Band: THE GO! TEAM
Who: Brighton’s exhilarating soul/funk/pop 6-piece band
Active: Since 2000 / 6 studio albums (including this new one)

New album: GET UP SEQUENCES PART ONE
Released: 2 July 2021 via Memphis Industries
Press info: “It’s a place where routine is outlawed and perfection is the
enemy. Where Ennio Morricone meets the Monkees armed with flutes,
glockenspiels, steel drums and a badass analogue attitude. We’re talking
widescreen, four-track, channel hopping sounds that are instantly
recognisable.”

Turn Up The Volume: I wonder how legendary music orchestras such as Sly and The Family Stone, The Jackson Five and Parliament would sound right now, right here. I go for
The Go! Team. Similar upbeat spirit, similar party vibes, similar multi-voiced joyousness and similar live pizzaz (I saw and heard how they woke up a crowd at a Belgian festival a couple of years ago). This go(al) team should play Euro 2020… on all stadiums’ stereos, uniting all people present there and at watching at home.

THE GO! TEAM With Detroit Teenager On Vocals – Hear New Single ‘A BEE WITHOUT ITS STING’

New sonic impulses…

16 June 2021

Band: THE GO! TEAM
Who: Brighton’s exhilarating soul/funk/pop 6-piece band
Active: Since 2000 / 6 studio albums (including new one)

New album: GET UP SEQUENCES PART ONE
Out: 2 July 2021 via Memphis Industries
Press info: “It’s a place where routine is outlawed and perfection is the

glockenspiels, steel drums and a badass analogue attitude. We’re talking
widescreen, four-track, channel hopping sounds that are instantly
recognisable.”

New single: A BEE WITHOUT ITS STING
Already the 4th single from the upcoming LP.

Ian Parton (the team captain): ““When I was working on the last Go! Team record
‘Semicircle’ I approached the choir leader of a Detroit school called the Detroit Academy
For Arts And Sciences and asked if any of her students were interested in singing on a
Go! Team song. So when it came to finding the singer for ‘A Bee Without Its Sting’ I thought
again of the choir. One of the singers was a teenager called Jessie Miller whose voice was
perfect for the song. She’d never been into a recording studio before, but her voice is so
full of character.”

Seems like The Jacksons 5 are back in town.

Sunlit Summer Spiritedness – THE GO! TEAM Entertains With New Blissful Single ‘COOKIE SCENE’…

Daily fuel to load your sonic batteries…

14 July 2020

After their excellent 2018 album Semicircle, Brighton’s vivid and colorful squad
THE GO! TEAM returns with stand-alone single COOKIE SCENE featuring rapper IndigoYaj. A sunlit, uplifting and funky rap humdinger that puts a big smile on your
face and activates your feet, nerves and muscles instantly. yes, fuel for your body.

“With the flute in a locked groove it makes way for junkshop percussion to go front and
center – built from a marching drum, a 50p against a glass bottle, rimshots and the maple
on maple of drumsticks hit together.”

These are the joie de vivre tunes we welcome with open arms in these erratic times we
live in while waiting for a new, safe and healthy future. Put your sorrows aside for a while and dance, sing, trip & hop and sway your hips along with the Go!Team
