Horsepower Rock Force THE NORTHWEST Score Big Time With New 6-Track EP ‘ALL IN’

15 June 2022

Band: THE NORTHWEST
Who: Heartland Rock with a little Canadiana
and tons of riffs. Formed in 2013.

Releases: Debut EP (2013) and
Songs From 2015-2017 EP (2018)

New EP: ALL IN
Produced by Dustin Goodall and Bill Priddle

Wayne (guitar/vocals) “A lot of time spent on this one. Mike and I really used this downtime from the pandemic to send voice memo demos back and forth. I would write everyday while I was “working from home”. We spent a solid year just focused on these batch of songs. This was also the first time handing the keys over to a team to help with production. It had its ups and downs was really a learning experience as well. It took thought to get the song ideas to come together it took a team to make the EP sound how we wanted it to be.”

Turn Up The Volume says: As I said before these captivating Canadians have the spry drive and harmonious spirit of Americana zealots Band Of Horses (Shoreline / Lights/ Stay Gold), but they also create that agitated turbulence of former Hüsker Dü hero Bob Mould on Long Hair (Longer Nights) and Walls.

When you develop this kind of buzz and fuzz with big time tunes like these six corkers
are The Northwest deserves your attention, on repeat. All in all a dumbfound extended
play about all things human. Fear, doubt and hope.

Canadian Rockers THE NORTHWEST Advice To ‘STAY GOLD’

Daily electricity to load your batteries

7 June 2022

Band: THE NORTHWEST
Who: Heartland Rock with a little Canadiana
and tons of riffs. Formed in 2013.

Releases: Debut EP (2013) and
Songs From 2015-2017 EP (2018)

New single: STAY GOLD
From the forthcoming 6-track EP All In, out this Friday.

It’s a nostalgic Canadian rock song about remembering the best moments in life.

Wayne (vocals/guitar) : “”Stay Gold” was the last song on the EP that came together – Mike had a demo of a verse idea and chorus. When we got together to work on it, we ended up tweaking the verse approach to better fit the vocal line I came up with and the chorus really stood out in the demos.”

Turn Up The Volume: Stay Gold is the third piece these vigorous Canadians share from the upcoming EP. As said before The Nortwest have the nervy and spry drive of Americana zealots Band Of Horses, spiced with full of pep guitar layers, Eagles-like harmonies and an encouraging chorus at play here. Great memories can trigger a positive-looking-forward state of mind, right? Absolutely.

Canadian 3-Guitar Team THE NORTHWEST Wants To Survive – Hear New Single ‘SHORELINE’ Here

New striking strokes

11 May 2022

Band: THE NORTHWEST
Who: 3-Guitar Heartland Rock with a little
Canadiana and a lot of riffs. Formed in 2013

Releases: Debut EP (2013) and
Songs From 2015-2017 EP (2018)

New single: SHORELINE

“‘Shoreline’ was inspired by an episode of the show Band Of Brothers. It’s a song about commitment to a cause and banding together to make it through a difficult time and
place. It may end but we are going all in to fight another day”.

Turn Up The Volume: A band formed to call it a day sometime, but not yet. Enter this new galvanized ripsnorter. Electric-powered, flat-out rolling, and gloriously melodic. Somewhere between the fervid flow of Band Of Horses and Dinosur Jr. in overdrive. Kicky stuff, ladies and gents. Definitely enough to survive, to my ears.
