Last January, Friday the 13th, on the 56th birthday of charismatic frontman Wayne Coyne the Oklahoma psychedelic eccentrics THE FLAMING LIPS’ released their new spacey opus, titled OCZY MLODY. “Syd Barrett meets A$AP Rocky and they get trapped in a fairy tale in the future” said Coyne about the new album. It’s a remarkably moody promenade with both fantastical images and also dark melancholic musings straight from their Flaming universe where not all is glamour and glitter. A great record to play on your earphones at night with the lights dimmed.
