KIM LOGAN is a songwriter, opera singer, poet, performance artist, and a rock and roll torchbearer from Florida with an appetite for psychedelic swamp blues. She’s backed by her firm French band THE SILHOUETTES. Last February she released her second, multi-faceted album Shadow Work with steamy single ‘DIRTY BUSINESS’ as one of the robust highlights.

Dirty Business kicks of with a funky drum intro, 70s organs reminding me instantly of the late great keyboardist John Lord of hard rock legends Deep Purple immediately followed by the powerhouse voice of Logan. She makes it loud and clear that she wants to go on with a turbulent relationship no matter what others think. “My best friend said she’d break his legs / if I brought him back again / well sister, I’m so sorry / I know you know you’re right / but i’ve got a taste for that style and grace.”

Expect a sinewy sledgehammer beat, torching guitars, Logan‘s strapping vox – balancing between Sheryl Crow and Evanescence‘s mighty frontwoman Amy Lee – and a titanic chorus inviting you to join in and shout along at the top of your lungs…
