Daily fuel to load your sonic batteries…
27 August 2020
HYPOLUXO is an alt-rock gang out of Brooklyn that’s been around for a couple
years before they clashed with their label. But they came out of it on the good
side with force, confidence, and a new record partner, Terrible Records.
The alive and kicking back result is new single RIDDEN. A song
written when the band didn’t know if they would survive.
“An ode to me having to get out of my house and continuing the creative process
from this place of dejection and despondency” says frontman Samuel Cogen.
‘Ridden‘ feels and sounds like if Hypoluxo met Parquet Courts, Kurt Vile, The War
On Drugs‘ Adam Granduciel and The Smiths‘ legendary guitar hero Johnny Marr
at a cross-road, somewhere in the middle of nowhere and had an electrifying
jam, taped by Tom Verlaine, without any of their record labels looking over their
shoulders. Expect a hypnotic flow, a free-feeling glow, and a new sonic gusto.
