Band: DEAD CAN DANCE

Who: Celebrated British/Australian veteran duo,
Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry. They create(d) a mix
of African polyrhythms, Gaelic folk, Gregorian chant,
Middle Eastern music and art-rock.

Active: 1981-1998, 2005, 2011-present / 11 LPs with
Dionysus as the most recent one, released in 2018.

Artwork: Cover of their third LP Within The Realm Of A Dying Sun
released 35 years ago this year (Juy 1987).

The cover’s photograph was taken in Paris at the family grave of French chemist/naturalist/physician François-Vincent Raspail at the famous
Père-Lachaise cemetery.
