ARCTIC MONKEYS are everywhere on the Internet for a couple of weeks now in attendance of their 7th longplayer that finaly arrived 2 days ago. It’s baptized THE CAR, received as another masterpiece by most of the (British) press. Just like on the previous album Alex Turner goes again in crooner mode. It doesn’t work for me, simply because his voice hasn’t the genuine crooner timbre of the real big ones, such as Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Matt Berninger, Father John Misty, and many more.
