Band: THROW DOWN BONES
Who: Instrumental Industrial-Psych from Italy
Fuzz Club Records: “Milan/London experimental band Throw Down Bones are returning with their new album ‘Three’. A towering body of work that feels both apocalyptic and jubilant. It’s their eagerly-awaited return following 2018’s ‘Two’ and the tragic passing of founding member Dave Cocks in a motorcycle accident in 2019. Choosing to continue the band in honour of Cocks, in February 2020, surviving co-founder Francesco Vanni returned to London’s New River Studios with long-term collaborator and producer James Aparicio (Spiritualized, Nick Cave) and a new band in tow, made up of bassist Marion Andrau and drummer Raphael Mura.”
Francesco Vanni (co-founder): “The Guidance has a strong dualism between
the ‘futuristic’ production James carefully crafted and the out-of-time evocative
atmosphere. The main concept behind the new album was about evolving our
sound while still keeping our trademark sound and melodic style, and I think the
Guidance is the perfect example of that.”
TUTV: Think Nine Inch Nails with chainsaws, trying to cut Front 242 to pieces,
who in return produce deafening drones while the Chemical Brothers, in the back,
take care of metallic techno grooves. Gloriously nasty, right? You bloody betcha.
Like three brutal bulldozers crashing into each other. Can’t wait for the album.
So should you.
Unleash the beast.
