NYC’s Post-Punk Mavericks BUSH TETRAS Return With New LP – The First Single ‘THINGS I PUT TOGETHER’ is A Peppy Blues-Punk Cracker

New striking strokes

4 May 2023

NYC’s post-punk heroes BUSH TETRAS (1979–1983, 1995–1998, 2005–present) who released comeback EP Take The Fall in 2018, and a career-spanning box set, named Rhythm and Paranoia: The Best of Bush Tetras last year have canned a new album.

A couple of weeks before the boxset release drummer Dee Pop passed away, aged 65.

He had started working on a new record with bandmates Pat Place and Cynthia Sley who decided after his death to finish the LP, recruiting Sonic Youth’s Steve Shelley as their new drummer and producer of the new album. The first in 10 years.

The longplayer is titled Things I Put Together
and lands on 23 July. Pre-order info here.

Along with the news comes the first single, the title track.
A peppy mid-tempo blues-punk cracker that creeps under
your skin without asking permission. A super-duper way
to return.

Listen.
