We lost two monumental Irish artists this year. Shane MacGowan (on 30 November,
aged 65) and Sinead O’Connor (on 23 July, aged 56). But as the cliché goes, in these
case an undisputable certainty, they will live on through their music. All fans, including
me, will play their songs for years to come.

One of the countless Sinead O’Connor goosebumps moments is her astonishing version
of 1987 debut single TROY on the then famous Dutch music TV Show Countdown, that same year.
