The revered 76-year-old British songstress LINDA THOMPSON (former wife of
folk hero Richard Thompson) has a new album coming up, named PROXY MUSIC.
First single ‘The Solitary Traveller’
.
She has limited singing capabilities now due to a rare vocal condition, so
she invited several friends to do the job, including John Grant, Rufus Wainwright,
Martha Wainwright, Eliza Carthy, The Proclaimers, Dori Freeman, and more, along
with many talented Thompsons, her children Teddy and Kami, and her ex-husband
Richard Thompson playing guitar on several tracks.
