40 years ago today, on 25 June 1984, the late musical genius
PRINCE (1958-2016) released his massive masterpiece album
PURPLE RAIN.

It was his 6th LP and was the soundtrack of the film of the same name that hit
the cinemas the year before. It topped the album chart in the US, in Australia,
in Canada, in The Netherlands and was Top-10 in countless other countries.
