A Bob Dylan biopic, titled A COMPLETE UNKNOWN directed by
James Mangold and with actor Timothée Chalamet playing Dylan,
is coming up.

It’s based on the 2015 book Dylan Goes Electric by Elijah Wald.

Press info: “Set in the influential New York music scene of the early 60s,
the film follows the 19-year-old Minnesota songsmith’s meteoric rise as a
folk singer to concert halls and the top of the charts. His songs and mystique
becoming a worldwide sensation, culminating in his groundbreaking electric
rock and roll performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.”

The biopic premieres in the United States in December 2024
and in the United Kingdom and Ireland in January 2025.
