BDRMM – British Melodic Indie Shoegazers Repeat Themselves On New Single ‘INFINITY PEAKING’

New tunes

Bandbdrmm
Who: 5-piece from Hull, UK formed into 2017 by bedroom (bdrmm) singer-songwriter
Ryan Smith. A slimy cocktail of synth-soaked Beach House, jangly slackers DIIV and otherworldly shoe-gazers Slowdive, the group combine a knack for weaving dreamy
sonic textures and sentimental story-telling together perfectly.

Works: Two albums (so far).
Bedroom (2020) and I Don’t Know (2023).

New single: INFINITY PEAKING

The 2nd one, following John On The Ceiling from their
forthcoming 3rd longplayer, titled Microtonic. It’s out
on February 28.

Press info for the album: “Bdrmm’s trademark sound hasn’t disappeared by any means, the band’s more guitar-heavy beginnings a blueprint and influence on many of the groups breaking through in the here and now, a time when shoegaze is enjoying its strongest revival since its inception in the 80s, but those guitars are now incorporated into a broader, more expansive and varied sonic palette.”

I loved/love their superb debut LP, but on Infinity Painting bdrmm still
operate on their same misty cloud, but less inspired, just as they sound
on the lead single John On The Ceiling too. I hope the new album shows
something, more exciting, else.
