Bauhaus‘ dark-Goth-wave icon PETER MURPHY (now 67) made a surprising return last November with a goosebumps power pop ballad duet with Boy George, named Let The Flowers Grow.
Now he’s back solo, ready to unleash his 10th solo LP Silver Shade on May 9th.
It’s produced by renowned producer Youth (Pink Floyd, The Verve, Crowded House,
member of Killing Joke, The Orb, The Firemen w/Paul McCartney).
Following slam-bang lead single Swoon Murphy comes up with a 2nd stunner,
named THE ARTROOM WONDER. A thrumming electro-filled tune hitting you
again and again and again. Fabulous drill.
It features Tool’s bassist Justin Chancellor.
Murphy: “It has has a surreal approach, telling the story in my typical oblique style,
including the description of a lowdown that leads into an evocation of the perfected
human being, the Prophet Muhammad (may peace be upon him). The final verse
celebrates my own self-advancing and position on this.”
Booming and boosting.
