Who: The new endeavour of the London-based Italian-Mexican musician Stefania F. Cardenas, co-founder, singer and guitarist of the now defunct all-female indie act Madonnatron and musical partner Dexter.

Press info: “It started as a messy, late-night jam and a drunken dare. It turned into
a playful fetish fantasy, full of raw energy and with a few cheeky, tongue-in-cheek references.
Influenced by bands like Viagra Boys and Amyl and the Sniffers, `Be My Doll` takes Red Peril’s sound into heavier, more post-punk territory – a step away from the tone of the previous 2 singles, Bollywood Gangsta and Space Dogs, but a perfect fit for their ferocious live shows.”
Cardenas: “We were having a jam when I suggested Dexter try on one of my spandex catsuits to wear at our gig that night. The expression on his face when he saw himself in the mirror was priceless. I felt I needed to capture that scene, and Be My Doll was the result.”

sucker-punch is an ironclad master blaster. It hammers, slams and bashes mercilessly. Wham bloody wham bam. And Cardenas‘ ablaze vocals augment the torrid temperature until the thermometer explodes into pieces. ‘Be My Doll, Be My Fucking Doll.’ Absolutely.
