For your eyes
21 October 2026
Band: THE AVALANCHES
Who: Synth-dance-pop
veterans from down under.
Active: Since 1997
Album: BAD MEMORIES
Their 4th in 29 years.
Lazy bastards.
TUTV: The album sounds quite passé. It’s overcrowded with samples,
crazy little voices, and kickstars. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
Artwork: The cover features a cartoon-like, futuristic, and nostalgic illustration
including an anthropomorphized iPod and a floppy disk. It aligns with the album’s
themes, which revolve around memories, nostalgia, and the influence of the modern world of technology and consumer culture.
It was designed by Australian artist Jonathan Zawada.
