HOLY COVES – Welsh Indie Rockers Share Tribute Video For New Single ‘AWAY WE GO’

Eye-catching clips

2 August 2023

Last year, passionate Welsh indie rockers HOLY COVES released one
of the best LPs to Turn Up The Volume‘s ears with their 3rd one, titled
DRUIDS AND BARDS. You can stream it below on Spotify.

“A striking work of top-notch tunes that get under your skin slowly but surely until you
see/hear the whole picture and realize that this is one of the most gripping albums of 2022, definitely in my book. Spiritually, the record is inspired by Welsh ancient history and will have two sequels in the future. Musically it’s pure indie guitar pop/rock delivered with panache, determination and love with the songs author’s voice as the zealous force in the middle”

One of the standout tracks and new single – the 4th in
a series of 5 – on the record is opener AWAY WE GO.

A solid gold anthem with a titanic vocal chorus.

The band now just shared a brand-new video for
it that looks like a tribute to their beloved island.

“It’s a real look into life on Holy Island, Anglesey!”

It was created by award winning Ukrainian filmmaker
Taras Merenkov and filmed by Jason Griffith.

Herculean Rockers GRAMMA VEDETTA Fabricated An AI-Generated Video For Their Heavy Turbocharger ‘SPACE FARMER’

Eye-catching clips

14 July 2023

Artwork single designed by the artist Mirkow Gastow

Band: GRAMMA VEDETTA
Who: Herculean rockers from London. Their trademark sound is characterised
by lo-tuned big riffs over rumbling grooves, topped by viral melodies.

Single/video: SPACE FARMER

“The lyrics raise questions about how we deal with life’s challenges. The ‘Space Farmer’ offers an escape, a way to rise above the usual and explore new perspectives. As the song progresses, it tackles themes of liberation, the perception of truth, and the illusions we live by. The recurring line, “Space Farmer grows what works for you,” encapsulates the idea that the Space Farmer can provide tailored solutions for life’s challenges. Space Farmer is an interstellar odyssey that beckons its audience, promising a journey filled with wonder, inspiration, and a voyage to the farthest reaches of the cosmos.”

Gramma Vedetta about the video: “Let us give you a behind-the-scenes peek into the creation of the video. We wanted to make something truly mind-blowing, so we turned
to the excellent website/service called Plazmapunk. They use the StableDiffusion model
to stitch together a sequence of AI-generated images seamlessly. We fed the model with
the song itself, allowing it to extract the speed and timing of the visuals.”

TUTV: Gramma Vedetta bring you a spectacle for ears and eyes. Space Farmer
is a stoner rock turbocharger refuelling its engine midway. Think space rock
legends Hawkind fronted by madman Ozzy Osbourne. I don’t know if mushrooms
inspired the creation of the single’s artwork. Anyway, no rest for the wicked.

Get the LOUD picture?

DJANGO DJANGO Share Racing Video For Adrenalin Booster ‘SLIPSTREAM’ From Their New Longplayer

Eye-catching clips

10 July 2023

(DD Press)

British synth-pop act DJANGO DJANGO reelased their 5th LP, named OFF PLANET.

A concept album, with each of its four parts representing a planet. A swirling record filled with multiple dance thrills, enough to have 24-hour summer parties on the planet of your choice.

UNCUT magazine said: “There’s no denying that this is the band’s
most accomplished and ambitious record to date.”
Score: 8/10.

Just now DD shared a razzle-dazzle video for SLIPSTREAM,
a terrific hip-activating booster that doubles your adrenalin
production.

The clip is directed by Daniel Nellis.

DD: “The lyrics are a bit of an ode to watching the Tour de France with Pete Shelley’s signature track playing as a kid. We thought it would be fun to build upon that with the video, which sees Vinny (note: lead vocalist) being put through his paces, ramping up in speed until he breaks beyond reality”.

Jump on your bike.
The race must go on.

Canadian Celtic Warriors MUDMEN Rock Out On Their Jackhammer ‘FARMER’S TAN’

13 May 2023

Band: MUDMEN
Who: Celtic rockers from Alvinston, ON who
celebrate their 25th birthday as a group this year.

New single/clip: FARMER’S TAN.
The title track of their new album. Stream here.

The song is written by bandmembers Sandy and Robby Campbell in their
mother’s old farmhouse. It carries an inspirational message about friends,
family, community, and a strong work ethic.

“Our mom, Mary Dewar Campbell, is the one who inspired hard work and the one
who tried to raise us right. Still to this day, at 80 years old, she has a large garden
and gives vegetables to seniors in town and keeps her farm well maintained. She’s
a strong person and has likely never missed a day of work in her life.”

TUTV: The overwhelming drive, the emotive energy and the electrical rawk ‘n’ roll dynamism of Farmer’s Tan will make you move your furniture and jump like a kangaroo, from left to right and back. Think Weezer being a Celtic punk squad. If your limbs can
resist this bagpipes-infused jackhammer you need to consult your shrink.

The song’s corresponding music video features performances from three different festivals – the Western Fair in London, ON; The Kincardine Scottish Festival; and New Year’s
Eve in Ottawa, ON
– as well as scenes of folks doing actual farming. It also includes heartwarming shots of fans rolling up their sleeves to “show your farmer’s tan,” which
the Mudmen often ask people do at their live shows.

Well, they raised us right, they made us strong,
and they taught us how to get along
That our roots are deep, and promises we keep,
and I’ll roll up my sleeves to show

Hit The Road With GMBT LIFE For A Fiery ‘RACE WITH THE POLICE’

18 March 2023

Band: GmBt Life
Who: France-based trio from different countries, who live in diverse regions,
and who routinely meet to play music. They like to begin with bare melodies
and then improvise with various instruments and PCs.

They released a new, excellent, longplayer called 10 Minutes last year in April,
with a mix of tranquilizing piano-driven musings, cinematic reveries with spacey
Pink Floyd
-like reverberating here and there, and tender, ambient synth meditations.

They have a new video out now for one of the album’s notable tracks,
named RUN WITH THE POLICE. It’s a hell of a psychedelic ride, that after
a lazy guitar/bass intro intensifies with venom and works its way to a
bursting climax.

“I’m hidding in this car
I must not fall asleep
Something I can do
Yes I’m doing well
A race with the police
A race with the police”

Roll the tape.
Hit the road.
