Band: REAL FARMER Who: Outspoken Dutch rebels, inspired by heartaches and lonesome travels.
They released their debut album Compare What’s There last year.
Single: BIG STEPPER
Piece from their upcoming
EP RF II, out on May 2.
Real Farmer: “We live in a time when the number of countries in conflict is the highest since WWII. Big Stepper is about the global rise of the far-right and with it the dangers of extremism and patriotism. It’s about how young men and women are being seduced by their governments to join the army, convinced that this will help them combat their feelings of hopelessness and enhance their chances for a better future, but often it has the opposite effect, leaving them traumatised and forlorn.”

TUTV: In 1969 Edwin Star shouted from the top of his lungs: “War, what is it good for? Absolutely Nothing. Unfortunately, as long as power-greedy world leaders rule, wars
will be fought. These belligerent days are another loud and clear example of the devastating nature of schizophrenic politicians. And it’s not over yet, far from it.
We need artists/bands like Real Farmer to write songs about the ongoing madness. You never know if somebody will listen someday. Enter Big Stepper. A shattering Krautrock-like missile with a sonic force, loud and aggressive enough to deafen egomaniacal cruel psychos like Trump, Putin and Netanyahu.
Real Farmer rotate non-stop, on and on, just as the late great Alan Vega loved to freak
out back then, and British mavericks such as Deathletter and The Murder Capital love to
do today. No rest for the wicked, no mercy for fascists, no licence to kill… for nobody.
The accompanying video features striking images that depict the
steady dehumanisation of military recruits and the horrors of war.

Veteran rockers SUPERCHUNK from North Carolina,
formed in 1989, have no intention whatsoever to retire.
Since their 12th LP Wild Loneliness, from 2022,
the band kept the fire go with a couple of singles.
And here’s their first of 2025, titled BRUISED LUNG.
It features backing vocals and guitar by songstress Rosali .
Mac McCaughan (vocalist, guitarist): “A song about being disoriented
and sleepless and not being able to explain why. Like a hangover but not
from drinking. Rosali came into the studio to add some woozy shredding
and great harmonies.”
Superchunk still know how to get you out bed, lazy people.

As announced before Swedish punk-rock nutcases VIAGRA BOYS
celebrate their 10th anniversary as a band with their 4th longplayer,
titled it VIAGR BOYS and will land on our stereos on 25 April.
Following the roasting riff-rattling first single Man Made Of Meat and
bizzaro slice Uno II the viagras go horror-fic, in their own comical way on
3rd taster THE BOG BODY.
Wake up people and say hello to the mummified boys.
Vowws: “Probably as close as we’ll get to an actual love song. But it’s more like a memory of love, like a rose-tinted longing. Memories that feel more powerful with time as they wear out, becoming warmer and more romantic. Sometimes they change and become their own entity, like an old, flickering movie of the past, rather than the past itself. That feeling is what the song represents to us.”
Hurt You is a glittery, guitar-motorized pop tune, that stomps
and romps on the dancefloor in your head all day long.
Wake up people, activate your mind
and body and move to the groove.

Veteran Kentucky rockers MY MORNING JACKET launch their
10th longplayer, baptized IS this Friday, March 21st.
Press info: “For more than 25 years, My Morning Jacket have achieved an
incredibly rare feat in rock and roll, upholding a long-established cultural
legacy while sustaining the curiosity and creative hunger of their earliest
days.”
Ahead of it, in a hurry, they drop the 3rd single
off the album, named HALF A LIFE TIME.
MMJ will wake you up, people, with this big bang booster.
“Reintroduction to what we have represented, and a good path leading
into what’s to come. We really wanted to sound bigger. We wanted to push
our sound in ways that we wouldn’t be able to do if we were just playing in
a room together.”
Amy Walpole (vocalist) “I’m just saying that all the
elders in the church that let me down are dead to me!”
Wake up people, run and hide
the witches are back with a
razor blade vengeance.
First two singles from their upcoming, 3rd, self-titled album.
The band will release packs of two songs each month until
the 12-track LP is out in full this summer.
Dave’s TV
“It’s about being in love with someone who is in
love with someone else. She’s watching Dave’s TV.”
Experimenting with a krautrock beat, The Thing’s influences not only geographically wander along with them, but hop through decades they weren’t even alive for. In the official video, the band dials up the camp as they film outside of none other than Dave’s TV store in Millerton, NY.
Above Snakes
An old Western term that means to stay alive and keep on living no matter what life throws at you, The Thing wrote this one with resilience in mind. They set the album’s
tone disgruntled but ready to smash all the chains that could possibly bar them from being the band on everyone’s tongue.

Welsh notorious post-punk noiseniks MCLUSKY, fronted by Andrew Falkous,
made a loud and clear mark on the indie list of decibels-producing acts between
1993 and 2004 with three ear-piercing and politically loaded albums.
Then Falkous formed another blaring group, named Future Of The Left,
including his wife on bass. They fabricated 5 full CDs and then went silent.
In 2015 Mclusky suddenly returned for a benefit gig in London and played
some more here and there. In 2023, they released a new 4-track EP, called Unpopular Parts Of A Pig / The Digger You Deep to fund a delayed US tour.
The comeback is now real and official. Mclusky announced the upcoming birth of their
4th album. It’s named The World Is Still Here And So Are We and drops on May 9th.
