TAMAR APHEK is an Israeli singer/songwriter and flamboyant guitarist raised on the piano. She became addicted to jazz and rock’n’roll during her two years of military service, where she wore her guitar and played it endlessly. She played in several indie bands before going her own way. Back in 2004 she released her debut EP Collision, and she’s working on her debut longplayer.

Ahead of it comes fulminant single CROSSBOW. “A sarcastic song about allowing or perhaps encouraging her aggressive tendencies towards other human beings, until one has no more “where to run “or until there is no longer” a place under the sun.”

CROSSBOW is unquestionable, one of the most spectacular tracks I heard all year. A supersonic ripper speeding up from the kick-off. A shattering juggernaut, dynamized by a rattling machine-gun drum and a mind-blowing bass vibrancy. This is a crazed crackerjack rolling over you like an unstoppable steamroller with the engine of a high-speed train. A head-spinning stunner going full blast ahead without looking back while Aphex‘s sensual and energetic voice adds pizazzy spiciness. After this electrical foreplay, you will get out of breath when the fiery finale explodes like an orgiastic firework caused by a tempestuous guitar eruption. A 24 Karat score. Hell yeah!

Let’s roll…
