ELVIS COSTELLO releases new album called HEY CLOCKFACE at
the end of October. The legendary singer-songwriter already made
us happy with three cuts (hear them below).
And here’s a song that does not feature on the official tracklist
of the upcoming longplayer. It’s labeled as a digital B-side. A pretty
special one as PHONOGRAPHIC MEMORY is a spoken word
story with the voice of the late great actor Orson Welles.

The surreal fairy tale daydreamers THE FLAMING LIPS launch their new album American Head on 9/11. With the five tracks (watch/listen below) we already heard it sounds like The Lips will spoil us with one of their most affecting works ever. A sort of moody masterpiece.
And this sixth new song, titled MOTHER PLEASE DON’T BE SAD follows in the sonic footsteps of the other five tracks. A melodramatic and melancholic symphony.

Electrical guitar-driven indie belter. “The song is kind of a contradiction or riddle, because whatever this ‘snake oil’ literally represents, the singer is apparently brewing and stewing it
as some kind of sustenance.” The track comes from the sessions of their excellent album Snapshot Of A Beginner released last March.
