Last night The National ringmaster MATT BERNINGER performed live
on the American TV show Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show. Instead of picking
one of his songs from his recent solo debut LP Serpent Prison he went
for a cover of the Velvet Underground classic I’M WAITING FOR THE MAN,
written and sung by the late glorious Lou Reed.

Bernigner‘s rendition sounds rather happy.
In any case not as haunting as the VU version.
