Single ‘SUBTERRANEAN HOMESICK BLUES’ By BOB GENIUS DYLAN – Released This Day In 1965

Top singles from the past

8 March 2021

Artist: BOB DYLAN
My all-time favorite singer/songwriter

Single: SUBTERRANEAN HOMESICK BLUES
Released: 8 March 1965 – 56 years ago today.

Album: Bringing It All Back Home
His 5th LP – timeless masterwork.

Note: The original historic clip became the opening of Dylan’s documentary
Don’t Look Back by D. A. Pennebaker. Dylan came up with the idea of showing
cue cards with selected words and phrases from the songs. The several cards
were written by Donovan, Allen Ginsberg, Bob Neuwirth and Dylan himself. There
are intentional misspellings and puns throughout the clip. A groundbreaking
promo visual for a pop/rock song.
