After the explosive Oasis split (2009) general Noel Gallagher
went on to form a band to back him up for his solo work.

So far he released 3 albums with the High Flying Birds.

Self-titled debut album (2011)
Chasing Yesterday (2015)
Who Built The Moon? (2017)

For the singer/songwriter genius that’s enough material to
compile a best of. Self-confidence is Gallagher‘s middle name.

The greatest hits record called Back The Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-2021).
– an 18-track collection (double CD or triple LP) – sees the day of light in June.

The title just came to me one afternoon, at the kitchen table. It’s a saying isn’t it:
“back the way we came.” I actually thought it was a great title. Which is why it’s
got vol 1. Because if there’s another one, I’m not coming up with another title!
says The Chief.

The album presents also two new songs. Here’s the first one.
We’re On Our Way Now is a vintage Noel G. ballad. Tender
and charming. One to hum along.
