Turn Up The Volume: After his blitz start back in 2012 with his masterful self-titled
debut album Bugg lost direction, not really knowing – along with the label’s crushing pressure – what his future would sound like. It led to some mediocre LPs. With this
new one he combines a bit of everything from the past, but with more of an emphasis
on upbeat pop tunes than singer/songwriter meditations. It works, but not all the time.
