It’s understandable that these dreadful times (pandemic/Ukraine) make people reach
for the bottle, but I think the Pogues‘ heroic boozer Shane MacGowan could have been
an influential factor here too.

These times have got me drinking
As I’m tripping up the stairs
To an empty room left haunted
By a ghost who once lived there
