Yesterday Was THE FLAMING LIPS DAY In SAN FRANCISCO

Oklahoma‘s eccentric psych pop-rock orchestra THE FLAMING LIPS, led by conductor-voice-face Wayne Coyne, are one of my all-time fav bands, on record (16 LPs so far) and on stage. Their live shows are a visual and aural spectacle. The symphonic magicians blew my mind several times (some pics below).

Yesterday was The Flaming Lips Day in San Francisco. The band was
honored with a ceremony on Sunday afternoon, prior to their headlining
performance at the city’s Stern Grove Festival. I wouldn’t mind organizing a
Flaming Lips Day in Belgium, but I guess the chances for this to happen is zero.
You know, just the thought is already satisfying.
