Top singles from the past

Iconic actress/singer DORIS DAY (aged 97 now) scored a No. 1 in the UK
58 years ago today, on 5 August 1956 with WHATEVER WILL BE, WILL BE
(QUE SERA, SERA). The song was written by composers Jay Livingston and
Ray Evans. It was featured in Alfred Hitchcock thriller The Man Who Knew
Too Much.
Last June post-punk celebs PIXIES covered the song,
as B-side for their new track You’re So Impatient.
Ps: Guess what? Tonight I’ll see Pixies at Lokerse Feesten in Belgium. What are the odds?
