Band: THE CHELSEA CURVE
Who: Swing-and-shake,
mod-pop trio from Boston.
Track: KINDAWANNA.
Their newest single. It follows their cover of
Mickey Lee Lane‘s 1965 hit Hey Sah-Lo-Neh.
Described in a press statement as “the acclaimed Boston trio’s latest effort for
Rum Bar Records boasts punchy punk rock grit and hooky mod-pop slickness as
we raise a glass to the good times — poppin’ bottles of Prosecco, joyriding on the
Lambretta — and crush hard on the ones we love. Dubbed an “easy breezy summery
luuuv song” by the band.”
TUTV: Let’s see. What should a vintage summer hit sound like? Zippy, fuzzing
and buzzing, full-blooded, powered by resounding guitars, a thunderous beat,
vehement vocals, and a killer chorus. Enter KINDAWANNA, a perfect example.
Did I hear The Who‘s Roger Daltrey say: The Chelsea Curve are alright? Definitely, maybe.
