NEIL YOUNG Shared New Track ‘STAND FOR PEACE’ – His Electrical Version Of The American Anthem
Daily noise that works faster than any stimulant
25 November 2023
For the occasion of this year’s Thanksgiving, 2 days ago, NEIL YOUNG shared his electrical version of the American anthem Star Spangled Banner and named it STAND FOR PEACE.
Just Young, his guitar and lots of feedback.
The accompanying video was made by his wife, actress Daryl Hannah.
The clip ends with the messages ‘Be Brave‘ and ‘Stand With Peace‘, obviously
referring to the wars in Ukraine and Gaza.

NEIL YOUNG Quits X – Twitter
20 November 2023
NEIL YOUNG posted this message on his website: “We are stopping all use of X that
we can control. For reasons that should be obvious to the richest man on Earth, we are taking this action against his company.” An image of Musk with the text “Teslas should fly flags of love not hate” was inserted in the post, along with this statement by Young.
“For our many Palestinian friends and our many Jewish friends, we do need to start over
in the present and release our terrible connections to the past. As bad as they are, they need to be forgotten so we can be free to move on in life together, all humanity, focused on saving our planet for future generations of all people.”
Last weekend big corporate advertisers such as Disney, Apple, Paramount and LionsgateFlee stopped their marketing campaigns on X (formerly twitter) following owner Elon Musk’s antisemitic abuse on his social media platform.
MOJO Magazine – Deluxe NEIL YOUNG Special Is Out Now
9 October 2023
“In the last six decades, Neil Young has journeyed from the visionary misfit of ’60s cult heroes Buffalo Springfield to ’70s folk icon, CSNY superstar and modern-day rock legend – acquiring the tag of ‘godfather of grunge’ along the way. To celebrate Young’s bold, tireless and uncompromising life in music, MOJO has brought together the contents of our two sold-out Neil Young specials, first published in 2020, in a 260-page ‘Deluxe Anthology’ bookazine.
Illustrated with dozens of rare and iconic photographs, this collectable edition unfolds the complete story of the singer’s extraordinary career through in-depth features, exclusive interviews and incisive reappraisals of his 40-plus studio albums. Taking in much heartache and tragedy (his bleak mid-’70s ‘Ditch Trilogy’ of albums; the experimental 1983 Trans LP reflecting difficulties communicating with his disabled son), and joy and redemption (his ‘comeback’ album Freedom in 1989; the exquisitely beautiful Harvest Moon three years later; latest album World Record), Young’s tale is one of survival, single-mindedness and musical genius.”

NEIL YOUNG Drops Another Previously Unreleased Album – ‘CHROME YEARS’ (1977)
14 August 2023
I always wonder when NEIL YOUNG slept
in the 70s/80s when another lost album from
that era comes along.
As happened now again with CHROME YEARS
marked officially as his 44th longplayer.
The 12 songs were recorded between 1974/1976 and features versions of famous Young songs such as Hurricane, Star Of Bethlehem and Looking Out For My Love. It’s kinda a best of those 2 years. It was first compiled as an acetate in 1977, for an eventual LP release.
Illegal copies of the acetate went viral among fans over the years.
Press info: “Chrome Dreams, one of Neil Young’s most individual and powerful albums, was scheduled to be released in 1977, but as is often the case with Young, things change. And then change again. With Chrome Dreams, it has been a long time coming to get to this final version of an album that includes some of rock’s most unforgettable songs – and now it is released as Neil Young envisioned it.
It’s time for Chrome Dreams to find its way into the world. The music included on Chrome Dreams is the debut release of the legendary lost 1977 album that features 12 classic Neil Young songs, including four originals. The 1974-1976 studio recordings include two previously unreleased versions, four tracks never before released on vinyl.”
Order info about the vinyl/CD release HERE.

comedian Joe Rogan‘s spread disinformation about the coronavirus
on his podcast on Spotify and the streaming giant refused to delete it.

Waking Up With Legendary Guitarist NILS LOFGREN And CRAZY HORSE
Works faster than caffeine
To be honest, I lost track of how many albums NEIL YOUNG, new and old,
live LPs from his Archives, solo or with CRAZY HORSE released the past
few years.
What I do know is that another one with Crazy Horse is coming up.
It’s named ALL ROADS LEAD HOME and lands on 31 March.
It features the original horses Ralph Molina, Billy Talbot and Nils Lofgren.
Each member wrote three songs with different musicians, except Neil.
It all started as a pandemic project for CH. Young was brought on board
later, his sole writing credit being a live solo version of “Song Of The Seasons”,
from the 2021 Crazy Horse album Barn.
1. “Rain” (Billy Talbot)
2. “You Will Never Know” (Nils Lofgren)
3. “It’s Magical” (Ralph Molina)
4. “Song Of The Seasons” (Neil Young)
5. “Cherish” (Billy Talbot)
6. “Fill My Cup” (Nils Lofgren)
7. “Look Through The Eyes Of Your Heart” (Ralph Molina)
8. “The Hunter” (Billy Talbot)
9. “Go With Me” (Nils Lofgren)
10. “Just For You” (Ralph Molina)
The first taster is a song written and sung by legendary guitarist
NILS LOFGREN who also played for several years with Springsteen’s
E-Street Band and released multiple solo albums.
YOU WILL NEVER KNOW is an easy-going,
electrical, retro country rocker.
