British Trio MOONLIGHT PARADE Makes You Long For AMSTERDAM

15 April 2021

Band: MOONLIGHT PARADE
Who: Indie rockers based in Worthing, UK.
The band formed in 2018.

Influences: (the all-time greats) The Beatles / The Kinks / Bowie /
Roxy Music / T-Rex / THEam / The Clash / XTC / Echo & The Bunnymen /
New Order / Stone Roses / Radiohead

Pick: AMSTERDAM – new single

Score: I love Amsterdam for hundreds of reasons. A 2-hour drive from
my Belgian hometown. A truly bustling city, day and night. David Bowie
sang about (the port of) Amsterdam. Jacques Brel, John Cale, Paul Weller
and many more too.

British trio Moonlight Parade joins the long list of Amsterdam fans. with
this nightly, red-colored humdinger, combining the melodic melancholia
of Teenage Fanclub and The Coral. A sweet little gem I’ll play from now on,
on my car stereo when I drive to my beloved Amsterdam. I am waiting
impatiently for the borders to open again.

Watch, listen, enjoy (great footage by Andrey Shagin
capturing the city’s heart and soul beautifully)
