Who: Quartet founded in December 2020 in Brussels. Pop music with British influences, mixing alternative rock and 80’s electronic sounds with catchy vocal melodies that contrast with the melancholic themes addressed in the lyrics.

Last year soul/funk virtuoso STEVIE WONDER (aged 72) celebrated
the 50th anniversary of his masterpiece LP Talking Book last year.

The biggest hit on the album was SUPERSTITION. The master blaster
track topped the US Singles Chart 50 years ago this day, on 27 Jan 1973.

Hardcore Maniacs FUCKED UP Already Back With New Slam Dunk Album ‘ONE DAY’

Who: Ominous hard-core-noise warriors from Toronto making
electrical waves for 20 years now / 6 studio albums (new one incl.)

The Canadian noiseniks were very productive last year with no less than
4 LPs centered around the same theme Year Of The Horse and a couple
of EPs.

And only one month in the new year and the hardcore maniacs
already have a new longplayer to offer, baptized ONE DAY.

Press info: “With ‘One Day’, Fucked Up have delivered one of the most energizing and intricate albums of their career, a massive-sounding record that arrives in deceptively small confines. The Canadian hardcore legends have been known for their epic scale in the past, so it might be a surprise that Fucked Up’s sixth studio album is their shortest to date, written and recorded in the confines of one literal day (hence the title). Don’t mistake size for substance, though: The band’s sound has only gotten bigger, more hard-charging, with even denser thickets of melody.”

their final LP, named BAD MAGIC in 2015.

An expanded reissue – SERIOUSLY BAD MAGIC – is now

The record label just shared one of the rare tracks on it.
It’s a previously unreleased slow-burning rock torch called
GREEDY BASTARDS. A rare moody Lemmy moment.

The Barbiturates is Geoff Street‘s bastard-punk baby. He produces,
assisted by some musically matching friends a multifarious mix of
all things post-punk and post-prog-rock and he looks like he’s ready
to start the ultimate revolution.

The Londonderry rebel has a new album out called SUPER CALLOUS FASCIST RACIST TORIES ARE ATROCIOUS. It’s almost the end of our messed-up world as we know it,
but read the album’s title again. Yes, the UK will be the first to go down according to
the spit-and-sneer attacks on the devastating Brexit catastrophe.

Want more clues about Street‘s state of mind. Check these song titles: False Idols / The Psychotic Tory Preservation Society / Pollitricks / Jesus & The Slave Chain / The Spaghetti Northwestern.

And the music? No, not some quickly cobbled-together protest noise going nowhere,
not at all. The 12 songs here, at play all stand tall, loud and proud. A mix of garage psycho-billy (False Idols / Timex / Comfort), some – yes – catchy pop tunes (You Can’t See Me, the title track with co-vocals by Tramp‘s North-Irish front Amazon, with utterly cool name Siânna Ní Laithbheartaigh) and several gloom-and-doom musings with a melancholic where have all the good times gone tone. Spot-on top stuff!

Berlin-based Post-Punk Act ERRORR Inspired By Serial Killer On ‘INNOCENCE’

Who: Post-punk outfit based in Berlin, founded in 2019
by Swedish multi-instrumentalist Leonard Kaage (guitarist
and producer of The Underground Youth).

Debut Album: SELF DESTRUCT
Release: 3 March 2023 via Anomic Records

New single/video: INNOCENT

The song’s story is inspired by serial killer and Satanic cult member
David Berkowitz, known as the Son Of Sam. Initially, he claimed he
was innocent of killing 8 people as he acted on the orders of a demon,
manifested in the form of a dog belonging to his neighbor Sam.

Kaage: “It’s a story about a man who is told by his God to kill. He goes
through with it and afterward plead innocence, as he only acted out his
God’s will. Whether God is in heaven or just in people’s heads is not up
to me to decide, but the message with this song is: take responsibility
for your own actions.”

TUTV: This astounding psychedelic piece rotates around a bouncy bass riff,
detonates every time the chorus comes on, while anxious vocals roll all over
its groovy cadence. The spine-chilling resonance grabs you by the throat from

The music video is inspired by The Keepers, a documentary about a covered-up
murder by a priest of a nun in Baltimore who discovered that he sexually abused

Who: The duo of J. Christopher-Rome (lyrics/vocals) and Christopher Moncrieffe (music/instruments) from Portland, Oregon. They mix post-punk, early 80’s goth,
shoegaze, and new wave into their own brand of sound.

New single: AN INDIVIDUAL SOUL

TUTV: This is a multi-layered serpent of a track. After a short shock intro,
psychobilly guitars take over and riff and roll all the way through, surrounded
by glowing synths waves.

Add Christopher-Rome’s creepy whispering and you’ll feel transported
somewhere into a twilight zone where Goths party. Princess Ugly’s ominous
mind mystifies and the enigmatic she-devil in the video is a misleading magnet.
