Pop titans BLONDIE had their first run from 1974 to 1982. They reunited
in 1997 and scored a blockbuster hit with the effervescent tune MARIA
2 years later (more than 90 million streams on Spotify). It featured on their
7th LP No Exit.

Maria was No.1 on the UK singles chart this day in 1999.
Their sixth #1, 20 years after their first with Heart of Glass.
